Whether focused on partnerships or not, marketing and sales leaders agree that partner leads are 26% to 50% more likely to close than average.
Our third look at The State of Partner Led Growth survey by HubSpot, Partnership Leaders and Pavilion showed just how confident sales and marketing leaders are about the power of partnerships. With organizations realizing how effective partners are for closing leads, it's no wonder that so many see them as an increasingly important as a source of revenue.
So why are leads from partners more likely to close?
• Partners typically refer leads that align closely with their own tech stack and expertise. They will be more qualified and relevant to the products or services being offered, bundled specifically for that client, industry and requirements. This increases the likelihood of conversion.
• Their endorsement means something to customers. The trust and credibility associated with the partner's recommendation can heavily influence the perception of the overall offering, leading to a smoother sales process and chance of closing.
• The relationships between partner and client are built on trust and a history of collaboration. When a partner recommends a solution, rather than a vendor, there will be a higher level of engagement and trust in the messaging and value proposition, as positioned to their specific needs.
• Partners have a deep understanding of their clients' issues. Their targeted approach to a specific problem minimizes the risk of applying a product that doesn't solve the problem and increases the likelihood of success.
• Partners possess technical expertise to guide the client through complex technical decisions. Working with experts inspires confidence on the overall offering of products and services.
• Reduced vendor competition allows the partner to focus on their tech stack and solving the clients’ problem without muddying the waters.
• Partners have a vested interest in their clients growth. They are more likely to refer solutions that provide long term value and benefits and can adapt products and solutions as the client grows.
A strong relationship and ability to provide tailored solutions contributes to a greater level of trust and confidence in supporting deal closure. Empowering your partners with the right information about your services and solutions and making sure this information stands out among the noise, will give you an advantage over your competitors. Putting partners in control of which products and services fit into their tech stack, when they receive that information and how can make all the difference when it comes to engagement and, in turn, sales.
